Abstract
Business environment, product of the current dynamic of life, requires effort and dedication to achieve the proposed goals. These activities are urgent and important, and in many occasions the urgent ones, are carried out while the important ones are left out; since the latter will never have the same sense of urgency as daily work. This paper shows the di' erence between the urgent and the important in the company and how knowing how to diferentiate both concepts will have a positive influence on the results of an organization. The challenge lies in achieving that the paramount thing is executed in the day to day, for which discipline, control, and strategies that allow to invest the right time in the tasks that result in business success are required.
