It seeks to understand the factors that influence suicidal ideation in adolescents between 13 and 17 years of age from the village of Poblado in the Municipality of Pueblo Nuevo -Córdoba. Likewise, it seeks to interpret a reality from a subjective perspective in relation to the context, study phenomenon and the population immersed in this study, in order to explore and investigate what factors influence the episodes associated with suicidal ideation.

The results show that there are various factors that lead to suicidal ideation and in more extreme cases to consummated suicide in the adolescent and youth population; These factors can be classified as follows: individual, family and social. Finally, the presence of family and emotional conflicts are determining factors in the episodes of suicidal ideation in this population group.
