Characteristics of the processes organizational neighborhood stores in a sector of the town of Chapinero
Abstract
This paper presents the results of the research Characterization of Neighborhoods stores in part of Locality of Chapinero , from a diagnosis of their needs in the logistical - administrative, and commercial, and financial processes, conducted by professors at Fundacion Universitaria Monserrate , during the years 2010 and 2011. This isn applied adescriptive research, with a mixed approach -qualitative and quantitative, in 33 stores located between Carrera 5 and Avenida Caracas, and between calle 53 and 80, using a questionnaire of 49 questions built on nominal, ordinal and numerical scales. It started from recognizing that retail trade is developed through the use of different distribution channels, including neighborhood stores, which develop their administrative-management, financial and commercial processes, based on the work and experience developed in some cases with low levels of theoretical knowledge. The proposed research demonstrated the need to train shopkeepers in these areas, so they are able to generate value and passing it to their customers. Therefore, this article also outlines key training needs for neoghborhood stores gain competitiveness.
